Tom 1960 Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 (edited) Don't know how many of you saw the final round, but it was epic. So happy for Tiger Woods! Edited April 14, 2019 by Tom 1960 Quote
Bill Nelson Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 Tiger's 5th Masters Win (and 15th Major) has just entered the sports pantheon of Recovery and Redemption Quote
Dan Gould Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 I don't know about all that but my first question is WTF? Every Masters Sunday I've paid attention to, I've watched the final hole in the gathering near twilight. Was this moved up because of weather? Or is this a new thing I wasn't aware of with earlier start times? Imagine my shock when I turn on CBS and keep seeing "recorded earlier" but no indication of rain delay or anything. Than Nantz starts talking with some Australian dude and the next thing I'm hearing is "historic" and "epic" and that's about the worst way to find out how it ended. Mom has taken to watching golf much more than I ever recall, I wonder if she saw it live or doesn't even realize she's watching something on tape delay. Quote

They moved it up because of threatening weather. I think there was even a tornado watch that factored into the decision. Amazing win, that's for sure. I remember watching the final holes of his 1997 Masters win... a long way between there and here. A great comeback story for sure. Quote
Dave James Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 I'm not sure you'll see anything quite like that soon...if ever. Tiger always looks so buttoned down on the course, but, inside, he had to be churning. And it's not like he didn't make it interesting. The way he's been putting from ten feet and in of late, everything has been an adventure. Remember how Tiger used to make his playing partners wilt by just being Tiger? I thought there was a little of that mojo at work today on the back nine....just ask Finau and Molinari. 15th major and a 5th green jacket. It kind of feels like order has been restored and that everything is a little more right with the world. Quote
ghost of miles Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 Last hole of the fourth round. Woods' embrace of his son and mother after winning is quite touching. Quote
JSngry Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 So, are these the Tiger Woods Glory Holes? Quote
