Shrdlu Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 I saw those two together at Ronnie's in London in 1972. Quote

brownie Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Had the Lion and the Tiger and the Drums LPs when they came out. Not looking to purchase the CD set of the first but will get the Drums one very soon. Great fan of Monsieur Jones here...Fascinating stuff and lots new material added on the CDS. Quote
thirdtry Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Just got the Buck & Jo set in the mail today from Dusty Groove. Only $20 plus shipping and it looks like they have more copies in-stock. Quote

If you're already familiar with Buckner and appreciate his wackiness, you're going to like this set. It's jazz that makes you feel good to be in the world. Quote
jazzmusicdepot Posted May 21, 2019 Report Posted May 21, 2019 Does anyone happen to have any contact at Fremaux ? I have sent numerous emails through their generic "contact us" link for a month now. Quote

jazzbo Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Thanks for the info. I ordered the set from dustygroove this morning. Quote
Rabshakeh Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Of the four, does anyone have any favourites among the four? Someone in another thread mentioned that they get weirder as they go. Quote
JSngry Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Yeah, I only know them as the 4 CD set. Wouldn't have them any other way, to be honest. Quote
Rabshakeh Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 I'll never listen to a 4 CD set. Just the thought makes me squeamish. Quote
JSngry Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 I listened to a disc a day, something like that. It's intense enough to where I enjoyed letting it sink in before moving on...but also intense enough that I looked forward to coming back for more once it did. Like a good meal, or a good, uh...encounter.... But that's just me. Quote
