LP vacuum cleaner

What do you think of this?  I am well aware of vacuums (which cost hundreds of dollars) for the purpose of cleaning your vinyl.

This is a $30 nozzle which attaches to your wet/dry vacuum!  Many five star reviews.  Too good to be true?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. ... Of course, not having seen it, I can't attest to the quality of the kit. But -- theoretically -- having the vac separated from the unit shouldn't be a problem.

If you did go that route, I think I'd also invest in a junked turntable -- so you could spin clean LPs on a 'table other than your "real" rig. I know that a bunch of dust & crud quickly accumulates on my vac unit. Wouldn't want all that gunk on my working turntable.

My experience with DIY (or very cheap ones) cleaning systems in general (never tested this one) is negative because of awkardness: drying records in a dishes shelve, etc.. The point is that after a while you quit. Let's put in this way: how many times would you mow your lawn with a crappy, noisy, time consuming mower?

If you are planning on cleaning many albums with this thing, wear ear protection.

I've put it on the camels.  The price bounces between $27 and 30; so maybe I'll pull the trigger the next time it hits $27.
