For me, they were the ultimate "girl group" in style, sound and substance.

 

"Baby, It's You"  has such a great lead vocal.

The book, I assume?  I think it's excellent on the Beatles in the 1970s (the main reason I got it).  A little bit of the momentum goes out of it after Lennon's death, but it's still a very good survey of the Beatles primarily post-breakup.

Silver Lining by Bonnie Raitt. A former girlfriend— who shall remain nameless :D — was a big fan and I liked her too — I think we went to one of her concerts — although I haven’t listened to her too much since then.
