duaneiac Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 Disc 1 & 2 of 2. AATW is a terrific live band(at least they were41 years ago when I saw them), so it's no surprise that the "live" recording is the highlight of this group of albums. Quote

And this is a live album, which has their best songs, and avoids the production pitfalls which have tripped them up in the studio so often following their stunning debut. Start here. When I lived in Milwaukee many years ago, the Bodeans were hot s**t. Quote

Several years ago, I used to listen them a lot; I was listening to a lot of Bob Wills at the time. I still may have a couple of their albums. Quote

I went on a Dream Syndicate binge last summer. Watched Dazed And Confused with a friend last Saturday (I’ve probably watched that film at least a dozen times since it first came out in 1993) and have been listening obsessively to this golden oldie ever since (it plays at the end of the Moon Tower party scene). Nice live version here from Winterland 1976: Quote
felser Posted February 20, 2020 Report Posted February 20, 2020 If you have any affinity for 70's disco-ish music (I do), this is frequently heavenly. But be forewarned, it is NOT jazz, or even jazzy. Quote
