I think "The Alchemist" is his standout moment on the album. np: Zabriskie Point Soundtrack 2 cd edition Useless trivia - the house that was blown up at the end of the film is about a mile from my house here in AZ. (the house used in the movie wasn't actually blown up, but a full size model was. The model's location atop a rocky outcrop is also about 2 miles from my house). That house today: A lot of good songs on that album - also Nightmare Epiphany, The Return of St Cecilia and Florida Man Wild that you live so close to that house! Quote

IIRC (and I often don't) BOC was supposed to do some music for the film "Heavy Metal" and though the deal fell through ,they released some songs that mention characters in the movie. (Sorry to be so vague but, though I was involved in the film and the soundtrack, I didn't know much about heavy metal music so left that to others. I did meet Bruce Lundvall who was representing Columbia records, so he and I talked about jazz while others dealt with the rock. I remember showing rough cuts of the film to Ronnie Dio and Don Felder but had no idea who they were. ) Edited 3 hours ago by medjuck Quote
