Willy DeVille „Backstreets Of Desire“ (FNAC Music) 1992 …. love ath the first listen ....

I'd forgotten all about them or him as I see this is a solo album not the band

'Cadillac Walk' was a big teenage favourite fitting right in with Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones

The Cover version of "Hey Joe" (at least on par with Jimi Hendrix) won my heart over in a minute ....

I would love to have seen them in 1979

Saw them 2 nights in a row in a small club in SF in 1976. They were on fire!

Epic released a promo live album "Jukes Live At The Bottom Line" recorded just a few weeks before those shows. It might be worth tracking down.

Very envious. I'll check out the album, thanks. It was around then I discovered them. They've fallen off my radar for many years until last year when they played London but I couldn't make the date.

I lost track of them a long time ago, too

The Pineapple Thief is a fine band!  Last time I saw them (2022 in Philly) I did the meet and greet.  Bruce Soord is a fascinating musician.  And got to meet Gavin Harrison, who to my ears is one of the best rock drummers out there today.

I don't know how Harrison managed to juggle three significant bands at the same time - Pineapple Thief, King Crimson, and Porcupine Tree.  Seems two of them are now in hiatus though.

Last night was a good show for sure.  A very tight band - they know what they're doing.
