Both his solo work and with The Flatlanders. I've meet and hung out with Joe a number of times when I lived in Texas. He's a great guy, and easy to talk to. I suspect his touring has slowed down substantially, sadly, as he's gotten older. Here's a song he released last year that isn't on an album yet. Quote

Honestly, I haven't listened to all the disks that much. There are some tracks with a sax player that don't work well. But like any group of live tracks, some are better than others. Let's just say the original album wasn't wrong. But I like the idea of hearing complete shows, as opposed to a 'best of' from multiple shows. The most successful so far is Jimi Hendrix, "Songs For Groovy Children" (The Fillmore East Concerts). A real tour de force! Quote

soulpope Posted April 20, 2024 Report Posted April 20, 2024 Cover Art and album title hint to a porn blaxploitation soundtrack, still this another gem by Roy C. and a late(r) gem of 70`s Southern Soul .... went under the radar for many .... Quote
