EKE BBB Posted October 28, 2022 Author Report Posted October 28, 2022 (edited) The Smiths’ “Louder than bombs” compilation on repeat mode. What a wonderful collection of songs! I was not so wrong when I was a big fan, being 15/20 years old. Edited October 28, 2022 by EKE BBB Quote

It’s such a great collection—almost all of the good stuff from the first two albums and Forever Changes in its entirety, plus a nice selection of post-1968 material. Love’s a band that just sounds better and better to me as time goes on. Quote

Agreed, and they had the wisdom to leave off the 19 minute foolishness of "Revelation", which wasted half of 'Da Capo', where they could have put a whole side of fine Bryan MacLean compositions. I had that set in the early days of CD's, eventually replaced by remastered versions of the individual albums. And Arthur Lee/Love stayed interesting throughout, no matter how trashed he/they got. 2003's 'Forever Changes' concert is fantastic, and miraculous for being so. Grab the DVD. Quote

I watched the 2003 Glastonbury concert on YouTube the other night and was blown away by both how good he still sounded and how amazing it was to hear that album performed live. Right now: Quote

mjazzg Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 Everything But The Girl - Eden Loved this in 1984 (!!) and love it now. Tracey Thorn announced yesterday that they have recorded a new album for release next year. I am more excited than I probably should be Quote
