duaneiac Posted August 13, 2021 Report Share Posted August 13, 2021 I saw a touring production of this show with Ms. Bacall and Mr. Guardino in San Francisco in the mid-1980's. It was based on the old Tracy - Hepburn movie, only in this version she is a famous TV journalist while he is a newspaper cartoonist. It was an enjoyable show, if not exactly a classic musical. No real standout songs and the most memorable number on stage involved the cartoonist singing a duet with an animated version of the feline star of his comic strip.
