Chuck Nessa Posted January 11, 2019 Report Posted January 11, 2019 Alvin Fielder and Joseph Jarman subtracted from my life in a short time is hard to digest. Both figured in my "professional" life from the beginning. Friendships continued for 50+ years and I feel blessed. Thank you to both. Quote
JSngry Posted January 11, 2019 Report Posted January 11, 2019 fwiw, I do believe that you have been blessed. I also believe that you've shared the blessing, passed it on. Gotta be tough, losses like this. Just know that for us on the other side, it sure seems like you've done right with it. Thank you, and stay strong. Quote
HutchFan Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Amen to all that Jim said. Hang in there, Chuck. Quote
ep1str0phy Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Hey, Chuck--really, my condolences. There's little to say that embellishes that other than that I thought of you (and Roscoe, too, in particular) amidst all this news. I'm really thankful for the tremendous work that is there--things we'll be unraveling and enjoying for as long as we're here. Quote
paul secor Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Not much I can say about the pain you're feeling except to keep the good memories close by and let time do its healing. Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 My mother is at this point Chuck, so I see what you're going through on a regular basis. She is soldiering on but it's tough. I don't have any advice for you - I am often at a loss of words for her - but all I can say is that she looks within, puts on a tough face and gets through the day, happy that she's still here. Quote
Brad Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 It’s tough getting older. Went through that with my late Mother. Sorry about your good friends. Quote
gmonahan Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Yeah, I told a friend that it's a hell of a note when I get to the point in life that the only time I put on a tie is to attend a memorial service. And I'm putting it on a lot more than I once did. We just keep on keepin' on--and listening to great music. gregmo Quote
JSngry Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 The sobering thing is when you realize that all your grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles are all gone. That's when you look up to see who'a at the front of the line now and you see that it's you. Quote
