JSngry Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 Here's Brew & Lou, Brew Lou if you like. Not exactly an abundance of available video of either Lou Bennett ot Brew Moore. Reading the closing credits, it looks like the announce was one Raymond Mouly. Was he a person of note on the Paris Jazz scene of the time, or just some tv guy who got a gig? Quote

Regular contributor to JAZZ MAGAZINE in the 50s and into the 60s and one of the few jazz specialists in the early days of jazz coverage on French TV (where he started in 1958 and hosted a regular jazz show in the 60s). Shrdlu Posted January 3, 2019 Report Posted January 3, 2019 I just saw this recently. I have, over the years, doodled on a B3. The one Fats is playing there looks very much as I remember them. He probably used one of those for his "Jitterbug Waltz". The other of his organ performances that I have are on the Camden, NJ, pipe organ - "Night Wind" being a masterpiece. Quote
