bogdan101 Posted July 13, 2018 Report Posted July 13, 2018 The mother (or father) of all box sets!... Ordered instantly. https://www.criterion.com/boxsets/1427-ingmar-bergman-s-cinema Quote
Daniel A Posted July 13, 2018 Report Posted July 13, 2018 Nice! However, it does not include what is rumored to be Bergman's worst film, a poor attempt at a spy thriller from 1950: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0043019/ Apparently, Bergman did not want it to ever be available again, but I believe there are (illegal) copies circulating. I haven't seen it. Quote

And this collection does not seem to include other early films by Bergman films that were shown, for example, many moons ago on TV here in a retrospective of the early years of Bergman. Films you never had seen before and probably never saw again afterwards. E.g. Musik i mörker and Det regnar pa var kärlek Interesting, though, for cineasts as even these early films have a very special atmosphere. Edited July 13, 2018 by Big Beat Steve Quote
Bluesnik Posted July 13, 2018 Report Posted July 13, 2018 I went to see the The Seventh Seal today at a filmoteque here. Though the program said it was from 56 and now I see on IMDB that it's from 1957. Quote
Edward Posted July 15, 2018 Report Posted July 15, 2018 Thank you very much for bringing this to everyone’s attention, bogdan101. I know that I’ll be placing a pre-order shortly. Quote
