ladenso1 Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 I recently discovered on youtube the track, "That's Earl, Brother", from the 1998 disc, _Trumpet Legacy_, with Eddie Henderson, Lew Soloff, Nicholas Payton, and Tom Harrell. Reading reviews of the disc I learn that "Earl" is one of only two tracks on which all four trumpeters play. Wondering if anyone might have the disc and could provide the order of the trumpet solos on that track. Thanks in advance. Quote
Gheorghe Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 Must sound interesting, 4 great trumpet players doing a Dizzy tune, and Diz´ tunes they all great, can´t get enough of it and play most of them. A whole record with such great trumpet players doin´ some really hot bop stuff might be a dream record. Quote
Trumpet Guy Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 Henderson then Payton then Soloff then Harrell. Quote
ladenso1 Posted February 28, 2018 Author Report Posted February 28, 2018 Thanks so much, Trumpet Guy. Wouldn't have thought it was Henderson taking the first solo. Did suspect it was Harrell on the final solo. Thanks again. Quote
