Chuck Nessa Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 I used to have a decent (by my standards) representation of the band on vinyl, but they are gone. I wanted to get a decent cd representation and see the Timeless Historical release is priced out of consideration. I bought the Avid set with 49 titles because it was really cheap but there is absolutely no discographical info in the set. Has anyone sorted this out??? Quote
jazzbo Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 Is this any help? http://www.avidgroup.co.uk/acatalog/info_2CD_AVC856.html Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted June 17, 2017 Author Report Posted June 17, 2017 Thanks. Not sure why I couldn't find that in a couple of days searching. Duh. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) No problem! Glad it helped. I need to spin the ODJB material I have again soon. . . I have two King Jazz CDs, the Timeless, the French RCA discs. . . . Last time I spun them the London material really stood out. Edited June 18, 2017 by jazzbo Quote
gmonahan Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) I have that Avid set. As accoustic recorded sound goes, it's not too bad. gregmo Edited June 18, 2017 by gmonahan Quote
