What kind of tape was it that was $118.00 a reel?

Although, I guess 2" is 8x more than 1/4, so $118.00 is better than $144.00.

He charged you $6 for a blank cassette in 1978?  Couldn't you buy a two-pack Maxell for about $4 then?

Chairs had to be placed on stage to accommodate additional ticket sales. One thing to add about recording at Rudy's - Before the session he asks about he instrumentation, set-ups and anything else you can provide. When you walk in the door everything is set up - unpack and play. It has been the most efficient operation I have experienced. That saved about an hour and a half of billed time.

A lot of the drop seems to have come in the last 2 years. This from FT.com (30th October):
