Synthesis - Six by Six (Chiaroscuro, recorded 1977) Synthesis was co-led by bassist Ken Hutson and drummer Rahsaan (aka Ron Rahsaan). The sidemen include Arthur Blythe and Olu Dara. Look intriguing. I've never heard this music. If you have, I'd be interested to know what you think. Quote
Dick Bowman Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 It's been a long time, but my recollection is that Hutson/Rahsaan were the limiting factor, sidemen better served in other contexts (something of a record of its times - tail end of the NYC Loft scene). Quote
