When I retired, I hadn't prepared myself, and when I walked out the door for the last time I felt somewhat overwhelmed. It took a 25 minute drive home for me to get over that. By then, I was ready to enjoy retirement and the fact that I didn't have to get  up and go to work five days a week. I've never looked back.

That's great John. It was 53 for me. . . worked enough years with the state of Texas to get full retirement. A blessing.

I've been self employed for about 25 years and gradually faded into semi retirement several years ago.

I work, used in it's loosest sense, about six hours a week.

Retirement suits me fine. I never get bored and seem to have adjusted well.
