News of his death was one of the very râpé times Jerry Lewis made me sad!

Few people seem interested in the fact that Jerry Lewis died two days ago.  

Everyone ought to see The Nutty Professor, The King of Comedy, and at least one Martin/Lewis film.

I was very sad to hear the news of his passing. 

I've always loved his movies -- since I was a kid right up to the present. I recently re-watched The Ladies Man, and it had me laughing out loud.  That trippy, surreal dancing scene with Harry James' band. . .  Wow. Brilliant.

I think Jerry Lewis' reputation will only grow now that he's not around to make people what the fuck is wrong with that guy?

Seriously, he still makes me laugh, quite often reflexively (which is the truest laugh, right?) except when he has my jaw dropping open about how weird and...uncomfortable he could get. But now that's over, so let's all laugh.

Just watched the episode today, and it's the warmest, least bitter Jerry Lewis in...forever, maybe.
