Yes, but Ray Brown is the featured bass/cello player on this album, Buster in a supporting role.

Yep .... but the tracks with him in a supporting role are especially successful ....

Now listening to the cuts originally released as Gemini. It's irrepressible music -- and it swings so hard. It's like being carried along by a wave.

Hard to believe it was recorded in 1971... but it was.

Live at Pep's

What took me so long to get into Lateef's music escapes me. I already owned a few of his Savoy titles and enjoyed them. I've been listening to a good number of releases the past few days and listening to this now. Very nice live date with the added bonus of hearing the under recorded Richard Williams on trumpet.
