I'd like this a lot more if Freddie Hubbard had sat it out (except for one tune). Interesting to hear Ron Carter back when he was interested in playing music, rather than just phoning it in and collecting paychecks. Sam Rivers does some spectacular playing.

You are right, this is a particular interesting album of Sam Rivers.

The first Sam River I ever heard decades ago was "Inventions and Dimension".
