This was my first encounter with Gerald Wislon, in 1963. It was the B side of a minor hit also with Wislon - Frankie & Johnny'.

I've always wished I hadn't got rid of it, but it's nice to listen on YouTube occasionally.

A-Side done by Ralph Burns, actually. Not that I would have known of either before you bought them up!

Recorded Aug 1961! It didn't come out until 1963.

Looking at the master numbers on Discogs, 'Cool train' seems to have been recorded a lot later than that. Perhaps they were waiting for a suitable B side? That seems horrendously unlikely, though.

Well, no wonder I didn't dig the A side as much as the B side.
