Absolutely! But I think Prysock made better albums for Verve than that one. There's .one, I forget the title, that is one of the best "jazz vocal" records ever made

ok, there's two - Mister Prysock and Love Me.

Yes, yes and yes!

The one with Prysock is the only Basie big band album I've got except for a cheapo compilation of old singles.

If I could find a compilation of stuff from the thirties and forties with ONLY stuff no self-respecting jazz fan thinks is much good, I'd buy it in an instant, but no one would be fool enough to issue such a thing :)

Disc 1 of 4.  Lots of great competition on this particular disc, but the winner for favorite song today is "Mr. Big Stuff" by Jean Knight. :w

Great track .... my today's fave from disc 1 would be Shirley Brown "Woman To Woman" ....
