I've never been a big Popeye fan, but I caught this cartoon, in its original black & white, on TV and found the gags to be kind of funny and the (uncredited) swing music a pleasant surprise.

Nope. We are flexible, but only a little. For instance, if you had said that that looked like Donald Trump’s idea of blackface, that would not have been tolerated. However, an honest case of inability to recognize faces in general, that’s a pre-existing condition, and will be tolerated for now. But don’t count on that lasting too much longer.
