An excellent album which may get overlooked because it was not on a major label.  An all-star cast of swing era vets proved they could still play it and mean it in 1957.  "king Porter Stomp" may be my favorite track here.

My indoctrination.  Life will never be the same.  Today:  Quebec, DC, Asbury Park.  Starless & Sailor's box sets due in tomorrow, less than a week after receiving Red.  If your heart still contracts, your lungs draw air, and your eyes open to daylight, then why would you not be listening?  Took me 33 years; Christ's life span.  My hope is for another 4+ decades to explore this catalogue.

Jobim as a soundtrack to the tropical temperatures here:

I think the mix of the latter is a bit strange when compared with that of the first which was recorded in a natural room ambiance except for Jobim's piano overdubs.

Not at all Bill; not at all, actually somewhat relieved. I have enough music in other formats and available on the web to keep me listening for the next 25 years (hopefully), even if I never add another item.
