(Soul Note, 1989) I love the Sonny Fortune/Ricky Ford two-sax front line on this record. The saxes sound terrific here -- just as they do on the other record from this same session, Crowd Scene. Yep, a while since I last played this one and it is is stunningly good. Like all of the series, in great sound too. I got to see Jimmy Cleveland play on one occasion, nearly 20 years ago now though.
