Particularly impressed with the first "Quintessence" album (with S. Coleman) and her quartet album "The Source" with Baikida Carroll). Quote

There was that run where a lot of M-Base players were showing up on non M-Base type records...I kept waiting for it to become a 60s Blue Note type scene but that never happened, for whatever reason. But IIRC, Don Sickler was shepherding that activity? Quote

Neither are the first or middle days (or Cobblestone before the label change). Fascinating label. So sorry Joel Dorn butchered the reissue program on 32Jazz (and Savoy did even worse) and that the catalog, IIRC, sits in Concord limbo at the moment. Quote
JSngry Posted Thursday at 12:36 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 12:36 AM Pretty sure that Savoy Jazz was running/distributing Muse towards the end? Quote
