jazzbo Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 Cold this morning, but should be warmer later today. Looking forward to a few good walks! Starting off with an intriguing 2 cd set that I really enjoy, Joel Ross and Mark Turner being standouts. Jason Palmer “The Concert: 12 Musings For Isabella” disc 2 Quote

But mostly it is an enjoyable mix of Watts riding a groove over airy Vangelis type synths. It is quite a unique, albeit dated, sound. I enjoyed it in a similar way to Turrentine Fantasy records: a nice mix of grit and gloss but maybe I wouldn't want to be caught listening to it. Quote

It wasn't the best quality pressing either which didn't help its cause. Mind you I also offloaded the similar one on Circle Records so maybe I was having a downer on Tidiane Fall last year... Quote

I am on a strict moratorium these days for space reasons. Quote
