duaneiac Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 Forget the lame cover art. This is the young, fresh Count Basie band heard in "live" broadcasts from the Famous Door in NYC. The sound on these tracks recorded off the radio nearly 80 years ago can be kind of rusty, but the excitement of the band and its music shines through. Quote
