jazzbo Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 Woke up to -11 degrees. I have to do a bit of running around today. . . going to be careful! Fiona the dachshund has decided she is NOT going out. Listening to a cd that arrived yesterday from cdjapan, Chet Baker “Live in Japan 1986 Sendai VOL. 1” Timeless Records/Solid Records Japan cd Sound is good, not great–sounds best to me with Phase “Reversed” on my DAC. 500×500 22 KB Quote
jazzbo Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 Following up with another one in from cdjapan. Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers “Meet You At The Jazz Corner Of The World Vol.1” Blue Note Japan 24 bit by RVG SHM-CD 2023 The distortion on the master tape is a bit annoying. I have LP burns of the mono volumes that sound better (from the days when I was trading music cdrs with drummer Danny D’Imperio). Quote

It was on one of those three night stints, where I was booked with an international sax player who called it in the last set of one of those nites, I had never played it but you have it in your ears so you don´t have to have a sheet on piano..... I think, once I heard it in a commercial... is that possible ? Quote
