Sad news. Michael Cuscuna has passed away.He will live in our hearts for his great work at MOSAIC reviving  music from the past and long forgotten.

I like it. Which, considering how our tastes differ, means you might or might not.

I have his other Blue Notes--need to get this one soon.

I recall you posting his other two Blue Notes in this thread a few months ago and I've been meaning to listen to them since then.  Finally got around to Saudade today and have the other two pulled off the shelf for tomorrow morning.

Just a couple? 😅

Can't really name the names, haven't looked at that, but there's some things on here that unabashedly and unhesitatingly (is that the same thing?) embrace modern music (including electronics) with a very invigorating result. I like that!

There's also a vocal or two that sound like it's 1979 all over again, which is ok, except...it's not 1979 all over again. Really, it's not. Thanks for trying, though, I guess.

This one again before it goes back in the shelves. I love it!

Miles Davis “Water Babies” Sony Blu-Spec CD2

This is sort of a schizophrenic cd as both sides are so different. I remember how exciting it was when this was first released on LP!
