jazzbo Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I played this one (arrived in the mail today) twice–it was such an energetic and bold and clear session and recording. I wanted to hear details again. Dannie Richmond Quintet “Dionysius” Red Records cd 2023 Then on to one pulled from the shelves, Kurt Rosenwinkle, “The Enemies of Energy” Verve cd. I like the music. . . his guitar tone. . . not as much. 800×600 70.1 KB Quote

jazzbo Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 This was a fun release. The past entries in this series were good as well. Here’s hoping perhaps there will be more. Donald Byrd “Live at Montreux” Blue Note cd Quote

jazzbo Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 (edited) “The Complete Verve Recordings Of The Buddy De Franco Quartet / Quintet With Sonny Clark” Mosaic Records LP box set, record 1. Rudy Van Gelder mastered this set and it sounds very good. A year ago I tried to sell this set as I have the cd version as well and have always listened to that, no one seemed interested. I’m glad I’ve kept it. Edited January 11 by jazzbo Quote

Do you mean that all of Malaysia is off the grid or just where you are? ( I ask because my son-in-law's parents have moved to an island off Malaysia and even they have internet-- though I don't know about Spotify. I'm on holiday in Malaysia. Living on Africa, off-the-grid and without music there. Quote
jazzbo Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Eddie Condon Town Hall Concerts, Volume 4, Jazzology Records LP 2 Eddie and his “co-workers” working hard. Great stuff. Especially happy to hear Ernie Caceres. Quote
