jazzbo
Horace Tapscott “The Dark Tree 1 & 2” Disc the first. It’s been a long time since I have heard this. The system sounds so much better now, I’m enjoying the listen a bit more.

jazzbo
Duke Pearson “Merry Ole Soul” Blue Note reissue LP 600×600 196 KB Probably my least favorite Duke Pearson LP but if there’s a day to play today is that day. Followed by Miki Yamanaka “Stairway to the Stars” cd with Mark Turner and Orlando Le Fleming

danasgoodstuff
Ramsey Lewis Trio+, Sound of Christmas, and FWIW you can put me in the 'don't get nothing out of it' column for Black Nyrd, or anything else the Mizell Bros were involved in. Except that live thing, and that's only a little better.
jazzbo
I think the Byrd live performance is more than a little bit better but the original LP doesn't do a whole lot for me, though perhaps my youngest brother playing it over and over and over is a big factor. (My next youngest brother playing Jackson Browne over and over and over is a reason I don't own any of his work as well).
