I remember how exciting this 2 LP set was when first issued. I’ve had a number of different versions. Listening today to the 2023 Blu-Spec CD2 version, disc 1. (I love the Japanese cover).

Sound especially good.

Maybe, but they could have found what they wanted in 30 seconds, not half-arsed, and about the same time as posting a query.

Nice one. Well done.

Currently listening to Ravish Momin's Trio Tarana – Climbing The Banyan Tree

I have not listened to it for decades, but as much as I remember, those are some of Bud´s best trio performances, especially because it´s Roy Haynes on drums. I think my favourite solos were on Salt Peanuts and Woodyn You, Conception and Little Willie Leaps. I think I remember there are great drum solos also.

Recently I heard another track from that date, that was made with a local Big Band and has a long solo of Bud on a Blues in G, I think it´s a line that Allen Eager wrote.
I think 1953 was some of Bud´s best recordings, all them Birdland sessions, the Massey Hall concert and I think at least 2 studio albums......
It´s strange that only one year later Bud was almost off the scene. Two very weak Verve records, and nothing else.

Actually I'm a big fan of his "late" recordings, but no question this release is great ....

I'm not trying to do otherwise but be helpful but honestly in my own case I would take thirty seconds to discover this myself rather than ask others to. Not trying to be a jerk, but it's so easy to find out for yourself, that's all I'm trying to point out. I do things like this several times a day rather than post for others to do the work. I apologize, from now on I'll try not to help with such things.
