Sonny Rollins - What's New? (RCA, 1962)

Liebman's Ceremony echoes Sonny's "Jungoso" from this album -- instrumentation-wise and vibe-wise, if not exactly sound-wise (since Lieb comes out of Coltrane more than Rollins).

I really like this recording. Perhaps slightly more reflective than I was expecting. But excellent. Michael's tune "Un Petit Quelque Chose" (track 1)  is worthy of a Dameron composition.
