A 1978 session.  Her voice started to show its age here, but it's a pretty good session overall, probably one of the last of her good albums.  She was joined here by the likes of Lou Levy, Laurindo Almeida and Ernie Watts.  And you'll notice you-know-who got a couple of his songs included.

Eddie Harris was a bad m.... - those jam session type performances with Ira Sullivan are fantastic.

Jimmy Rowles is the main reason to get this, the French lady's intonation is a bit flat in some spots. And if you know Jimmy's own subtle rendition of "Don't quit know" ... his accompaniment is great, full of unpredictable ideas, as always.

A 1997 recording by the Akua Dixon Turre led group, with Regina Carter & Marlene Rice on violins, Ron Lawrence on viola and the leader on cello.  A nice change of pace from my usual listening, I guess.
