Bob Mintzer – Spectrum

First listen to Mintzer outside of the Yellow Jackets, following a semi-disparaging reference to Bob Mintzer's big band work in another thread. It's only really half big band though.

Just missed out on an LP of that. 'Visions' is a companion album, so I'm led to believe.  Whether or not, it's very good.

I've already added the LP to my 'to get' list.   

There's a sense of joy and PLAYfulness in their music-making that's palpable.
