One of my local record shops has clearly bought a job lot of Braxton. Not sure who it is who has died or moved house, but there's a ton of the stuff and almost none of it that I recognise. He just put out endless records, even in the comparatively undocumented early 80s (when most of these seem to date from).

Just love this music–such variety and . . . je ne sais quoi.

The above disc is from 1994.

I met a guy in Germany who claimed to have nearly all of Braxton's output -
something around 250 titles - and I thought "that's cRaZy!"
That was around 15 years ago. Now, I look at what I have and it's around 300.

It's still cRaZy!

I'd estimate there are somewhere around 4-500 titles out there.
That's not including the hundreds of recordings of other people's albums that he's played on.

This one doesn't count:

Very fine, but I must admit, from Tadd´s two Prestige recordings I like "Mating Call" even more.  But both albums are very fine late Dameron. I think he didn´t record any more album after that with the exception of the "Magic Touch" which I don´t really like.

Who are the all star guests ?

I think I heard that they also recorded with Mingus and Monk in the early 70´s .

Going to the link, you’ll see that the more well-known ones are probably
Hino and Takayanagi. Nice to come across another Miyama project.
