So good!!!    Now listening to Ira Sullivan's Multimedia again: I think this is a wonderful record.  Sullivan's ability to play different instruments really well is astonishing. I wonder if it actually hurt him in terms of notoriety.  Here's what I mean: Usually when you're getting to know a musician, you only have to learn one sound.  (Occasionally, you'll come across multiple instrumentalists.  But typically they have a main axe and supplement it with other instruments.)  But Sullivan is a true multi-instrumentalist.  And that means that you really need to figure out his "signatures" on several different instruments.  As a (non-musician) listener, that makes it a bit tougher to get a toe-hold on what he's all about. All that said, the more I listen, the more I am impressed.  It's well worth the effort!  Edited August 16, 2017 by HutchFan Quote
