Looks like Teo had an in to Laurie, he also did two Lionel Hampton records for the label.

The Foster album is pretty good, actually. "of its time" in a very good way. Michael Brecker in particular sounds more uninhibited than usual.

Soul jazz organ with gauzy female exotica type vocals. An interesting mix. Allmusic don’t like it, but I found it interesting.
