jazzbo Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Pierre Christophe, disc 4 "At Barloyd's" Edited May 16, 2022 by jazzbo Quote
jazzbo Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 This beautiful album is like a time machine for Bossa nova. . . taking you in the present to the past and the future and wrapping you in a beautiful weave of great arrangements, performances and engineering. Quarteto Jobim Morelenbaum Quote
jazzbo Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Albert Ayler "Revelations" Elemental Music 4 cd set, disc 1 The sound! There was only one quarter or less of this released in decent sound previously, and the sound here is even better, which makes this music more accessible. It took me a while but I have learned to love late Ayler, and I think Mary Maria Parks had a lovely voice. Edited May 16, 2022 by jazzbo Quote
HutchFan Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 NP: The Singers Unlimited - Masterpieces (MPS, rec. 1971-1980) I've never been able to get much of a foothold on this group. But I'm giving it another go with this compilation.  Quote

Posts like this ease me closer to getting off the fence though Quote
