Antonio Arnedo "Colombia" Adventure Music cd.

I took a chance on this one because it's on Adventure Music and I enjoy nearly every issue of theirs. Was not a risk--this is a very interesting release! Harmolodic in essence I'd say, some very heavy percussive tracks, some sparse ethereal tracks, all excellently recorded and fascinating music.

I'll look for more of his releases.

Compilation of LH&R's three Columbia LPs: The Hottest Group in Jazz, Sing Ellington, and High Flying

... plus some tracks for an album that was never finished after they returned from a European tour without Annie Ross.

I haven't even come across Adventure Music.

It's a great label. There's an interesting 3 cd sampler of the label compiled and selected by Monday Michiru that is a nice introduction.

Are there records you have particularly enjoyed that you'd recommend?

At the risk of breaching the Board's "no politics" protocol, I have to say I particularly like the tune title "FU Donald" on this album.

As a title it's a worthy successor to "Fables of Faubus".

Following comments to me by Alan Barnes, I suggested he write something called "Brexit Blues", but so far nothing has appeared.
