Rabshakeh Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) Marco Minnemann – Broken Orange I haven't revisited this modern day fusion record for a while. I think it's aged pretty well. 2002 was a tough era for badly dated studio trickery and immediately passe musical references (pointless breakbeats? always), but this swerved the worst pits. Except for the dire cover art. Edited December 29, 2021 by Rabshakeh Quote

Rabshakeh Posted December 30, 2021 Report Posted December 30, 2021 Spanish Wave by L. Subramaniam (1983) A bit of fusion on a Thursday morning. It's my first listen to this one. It is like a combination of everything early 1970s. Quote
sidewinder Posted December 30, 2021 Report Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) CD6 of this enjoyable set. Followed by CD7 - ‘The Pretty Redhead’, also including the session with guest Charlie Mariano. Ace. Pondering when I actually saw Carr play live - the only time I can recall was with Gil Evans Orchestra ! 7 hours ago, T.D. said: ‘Pause, and Think Again’ Edited December 30, 2021 by sidewinder Quote
