It's almost like a portrait done in the last couple of years of his life, after his disastrous head injury in 1977, and consequent severe decline in health, which led to his death in 1979. Now: Obscure obviously, but the Canadian reedman is the subject of Mark Miller's recent book, "Oneliness", which I hope to read soon. Quote
