What a night that would be to experience at the Half Note!

One of my favourite live albums recorded by BN.
Fantastic rhythm section, lex humphries was a very fine drummer.

I wanted to hear a modern jazz recording and there are few more modern than this one, SFJazz Collective "Wonder: The Songs of Stevie Wonder." Not their usual live tour recording but a studio effort, and a good one.

That looks very interesting indeed. Nowhere to be seen this side of the Atlantic sadly.  Amazon Music seems to have a live album with some of the tunes.

Yes, Wonder's tunes were the basis for one of their tours and there is a cd set released of recordings from that tour that is quite good (as always coupled with their own compositions performed on the tour). I think I have all the SFJazz Collective releases now and I really enjoy them.

Walter Miller...has anybody ever heard what to me is obvious, namely that this guy is bringing Dizzy Gillespie into the Ra Music?. Talk about other places of THERE...

I like all her releases a lot.

She's a real talent.  I came late to her given all the coverage she gets over here. heir to Kenny Wheeler perhaps
