Prompted by Rooster's revival of the thread about Oliver Nelson's "Stolen Moments":

Mark Murphy - Stolen... And Other Moments (32 Jazz/Muse)

I wish 32 Jazz would've reissued Murphy's albums complete, rather than chopping up the records and reissuing the tunes in a series of compilations.

That said, as far as comps go, this ain't bad.

A pretty good record, but not what it could have been. Too much talent is a dangerous thing.

Koichi Matsukaze Trio & Toshiyuki Daitoku - Earth Mother (ALM, 1978).

This is a new one to me, that I discovered from NTS radio's recent Japanese spiritual jazz episode. Enjoyable stuff.

Whether it is really "spiritual jazz" is another thing altogether. 😉
