Listening the last disc of this set now. Cool version of Satch singing and playing Brubeck's "The Duke." I have mixed emotions about the whole "Real Ambassadors" project, but it did feature some interesting pairings.

I can understand the mixed emotions, but I've had a mono lp of this title since the early 'seventies and over time it's become a sentimental favorite. What I used to think as corny I now really dig. It's like the antidote to the Aglo Saxon Party line we face now.

Really enjoying this one.

Pat Thomas on piano, Seymour Wright (who I don't know) on alto, Joel Grip on bass and Antonin Gerbal on drums.

Mine's in the post. Really looking forward to it.  I've enjoyed the previous ones

I swore that when I got this (“galaxie”), that I didn’t need yet another Henry box set, but it does have some works not available in any of the others and he rarely disappoints me. His “Apocalypse de Jean” is my second favorite piece of music in my whole collection - has been for 50 years.

This one has Sammy Price, and Tiny Grimes, on some tracks. Even at the end Kirk was a force.
