mjazzg Posted March 27, 2021 Report Share Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) That Lehman is fine. I thought some of Steve Coleman's attempts to marry the genres worked. Then from the other perspective the use of Jazz elements by the likes of Gang Starr, ATCQ, Digable Planets, Common all worked well for me at the time, during my only real flirtation with hip hop.
