jazzbo Posted February 19, 2021 Report Share Posted February 19, 2021 Brandi Disterheft Trio with George Coleman "Surfboard" Another one recorded too loud but a good disc otherwise. Starting off with a Jobim tune was a good move. Ms Disterheft is a very accomplished bass player with a pretty voice and nice phrasing. Jenny Clark, Daniel Humair - Welcome (Soul Note) Kenny Wheeler's sound fills up so much space -- in a good way -- that this quartet comes off sounding like a huge ensemble.
