This version of "Paris Blues" kills me.  Extraordinary piano from Duke.  No one else can play with such luminous nonchalance.  Nobody.

Absolutely! 

That Duke is one that I neglected for a while since it wasn't small group or full orchestra. For some stupid reason I didn't think I'd enjoy his trio work...100% wrong. It's gorgeous.

This was my first exposure to Morgan and many of the musicians here when I bought it 13 or 14 years ago.  Not a bad place to start.

I like Sonic Boom a lot and consider it one of the stronger Lee Morgan releases. Indeed not a bad place at all.
